This Ambush calculator was developed by Arrez and is also maintained by him. He is nice enough to allow us to share it with you all. So if you see him, say thank you! In order for an ambush to be successful, you first need to be the victim of a Traditional March and the enemy must still have the land in route to their province. If they use War Spoils, your fresh out of luck. When you ambush someone, only raw offense is used. No modifiers are taken into account. The defender's army fights at 80% strength. If your hit proves successful, you will regain 50% of the land that was taken from you. This calculator does all the work for you. Simply enter in the enemies stats, and then figure out how much off. you'll need. It'll let you know if it's enough or not. Also, you can use the SoM formatter on the right side of the calculator to figure out exactly how many troops your enemy has.
